Hello! This is Aurelia Abena Attipoe
The “entrepreneur’s entrepreneur”
Aurelia Abena Attipoe is widely regarded as the “entrepreneur’s entrepreneur” within her professional circles—a testament to her unquenchable passion for cultivating and advancing businesses across Africa. The Pitch Hub, her brainchild, emerged in response to a disheartening early corporate experience, during which the company she worked for declared bankruptcy, resulting in significant fallout for all involved. Rather than succumb to the devastation, Aurelia transformed it into a source of inspiration, determined to prevent other African startups from facing a similar fate by fostering sustainable growth and securing early-stage investment.
Under her visionary leadership, The Pitch Hub has grown into a formidable force, redefining entrepreneurial paradigms, empowering over 500 African business leaders, and facilitating more than $5 million in pre-seed funding.
With close to a decade of expertise spanning Technology, Finance, and Risk Management, Aurelia Abena Attipoe has distinguished herself across both Africa and Europe. She has held key roles at global institutions such as Bank of America and has provided strategic consulting to esteemed organizations, including Société Générale (SG) Bank, the German Development Corporation (GIZ), Oracle Ghana, and the Government of Ghana, contributing to both international and national projects of significant impact.
Aurelia Abena Attipoe’s journey has been deeply shaped by the power of mentorship, a gift she received early on in life and has since paid forward with conviction and purpose. From her own pivotal experiences, she has made it her mission to uplift women and young people, helping them navigate the often challenging path to success. As a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Aurelia took this mission global. In her home country Ghana, she led and continues to drive entrepreneurial programs designed to equip the next generation with the tools they need to thrive.
In Ireland, she extended her efforts to those most vulnerable—migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers—guiding them as they rebuilt their lives and assimilated a new society and culture. Aurelia’s leadership and commitment to inclusion have taken her to the world’s most prestigious stages. She has shared her insights and inspired audiences at the 2020 Women in Technology World Series, the 2019 China-Africa Conference hosted by UNFPA Ghana, and the 2018 Global Youth Forum in Paris.
Recognized and celebrated for her outstanding contributions, Aurelia has been a recipient of awards including the 2021 Bank of America Responsible Growth Award, the Viewer’s Choice Award at the 2017 Global Youth Forum in Dubai, and the 2017 Youth Time International Idea Grant. Aurelia’s journey epitomizes resilience, innovation, and cements its relevance in ensuring that many more around and behind her would have the opportunity to pursue similar or greater achievements.
